Goal: build a free/libre design for a machine which allows people to set up a cheap and easy to use videoconferencing session.
When groups want to share audiovisual feeds with eachother, often they are confined using proprietary hardware setups like Polycom, or using one of the many 'free' online services that are available. None of these are a suitable alternative when you consider issues like privacy, publishing licenses and financial constraints.
We want to build a cheap device with which you can stream video and audio from a simple camera setup, and with which you can set up a videoconferencing session. This device will be cheap, easy to build, and easy to configure.
