Goal: build a cheap diy bookscanner based on existing open designs.
Although a lot of
books are already available in digitized form on the internet, much
more is still missing. Especially all the texts that are not “middle
of the (Google-)road”, and there is a huge gap for Dutch texts as
well.
If we want to change
this, we need good quality bookscanners.
Happily there are
quite a few diy bookscanners available these days.
