There's movies on the net that show people making filament from PET-bottles.

After having tried to build a tempeh maker from an open design, I decided to start over from scratch. My goal is to make an automatic tempeh maker for one or two pieces of tempeh.
We will make the housing, electronics and control software.
You might go home with your own tempeh maker!

Watching the news can be unnerving these days. Climate change and other crises loom large and our political system seems woefully inadequate to handle them. Staying passive is not an option but acting is difficult as well. After all, what difference can one person make? It can be hard to avoid the pitfalls of futile panic streaks or a cynical retreat. In this session I want to explore what can be done to be prepared with out ending up in full camouflage behind a wall of canned beans. Some actions will also prepare us for an optimistic future. Let's identify them and start work.

In the old days we had the open toko workshops, where one could learn anything together with others.
They stopped because nobody had time to organise them.
In this hackathon we will make them self organising. If someone adds a topic they want to learn about, someone else say they know something about it, a third person has a space to offer, then a date picker starts and the workshop is organised.
We will connect some open tools to build the system.

In times of change commons projects can have an important role in creating a new culture, one thats creating more life. For that we need open minded people not afraid to step outside of their own " believe systems" wich can be challenging.
I'm a pascfist, a lover of the science of different cultures, and would like to talk to you about how to maintain or make a connection with people with a different worldview, and keep our minds open so change getts every chance it needs to happen.

More than three decades ago Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web. It was to be a tool to empower humanity, instead it played a part in eroding it. 35-years on he is offering us a way out. Can his new invention, Solid Pods, deliver on the promise of an internet that is ‘trustworthy and hyper-personal’? In this hackaton we investigate the status of Solid Pods and explore its use-readiness. Can Solid-Pods hyper-personalize our democracy? The overall idea: instead of general elections once every 4 years can we have a yearly recurring process by voting on your birthday? The question: Can Solid Pods be a tool to make that happen?
Will you join us on this investigative journey?

What’s in a name? A lot. Words determine our view of the world we live in, or better: the world we share. A world in which democracy is in great jeopardy. We urgently need to re-assess the basic principles underlying our democratic society. Words are our tools to make the connection between what is and what needs to be(-come), tools to connect with each other. In this workshop I will share my hopes for strenghtening democracy. One of them being a new dictionary. I hope you will come and share your words too.
Note: this workshop will take place 2 times, one in Dutch and one in English.

"We would like to have a workshop that teaches people how to save seeds from their own garden, making your own seed bank." was a question from de War.

This is our space we can reclaim it with simple tools and some bravoure. We have been doing this for 5 years, I want to show you how easy it is and you can practise on a click-frame, we also offer the opportunity to make your own "advertisement" that we will place in a public location.

Can we reverse global warming with simple and known techniques? Youtuber NightHawkinLight has reverse engineered a pigment that is able to radiate the earths warmth back to space when the sky is clear and holds no clouds. This technique can cool the air 1 to 3 degrees below ambient air temperatures!
In this session I propose to watch this video (https://yewtu.be/watch?v=KDRnEm-B3AI) together and brainstorm afterwards how to build our own low-tech air cooler.
There are still a few challenges: How to make a ecologic (bio-friendly) binder for the pigment that is waterproof, UV resistant, durable, binds preferably to metals like aluminum. Perhaps we can also brainstorm on how to make this pigment suitable for textiles? Chemists, tinkerers, makers, hackers, paint makers unite on the quest of making the planet cool again ;-)

We zoeken schrijvers, 3D-ontwerpers, enz.
