Special edition: Meetkoppel: January 26 & 27 2019

During this special edition we will focus on Citizen Science and the Meet je Stad project.

What? During two days we bring together makers, thinkers and users of Citizen Science projects to exchange ideas and plans.

Why?

Who? When you are working on projects that involve developing and/or using sensors and work on the data, we think that this weekend will help you find others that are working on this. You can exchange plans and ideas and start new co-operations. And you will have fun hearing and interacting about projects you may never have heard of before.

When? January 26 and 27, 2019. Days starting at 10:00 o'clock, finishing at 21:00 hrs.

Where? This event take place at "De War". De War is a breeding ground for art, technology, science and sustainability Amersfoort. It houses numerous activities. Since 2002 it features the Spullenlab: home of de Spullenmannen. This artists collective makes theatre, installations, visual art and purposeless contraptions. In 2006 a cultural office space was added: working area, a meeting room and office facilities were shared by a diverse mix of cultural entrepreneurs. In 2008 the OpenTOKO workshops started, a series of 'open knowledge' meetings on the borders between art and science. Since medio 2010 de War also houses FabLab Amersfoort, the TransitieLab, repaircafe, and Studium Generale Amersfoort. There is also the opportunity to perform small theater productions. In 2012 the Cooperatieve Universiteit Amersfoort was founded and in 2016 the Biolab.

How much? Participation in the conference is free. For the weekend, a fee is required, using a decide-yourself pricing model aiming at an average of €50 per person. This will cover basic costs of the location, breakfast, lunch, coffee and tea, video-registration of the talks and travel expenses for some of the speakers. See the costs for details.

How do I join this? Visit the lineup, see what you want to share with the group, find you niche and come tell us what you have to tell!
